Milton was the fastest-growing municipality in Canada for the decade from 2001 to 2011, and Beaty, Coates, Dempsey, Harrison and Clarke were all developed from the early 2000s. A lot of the homes in those neighbourhoods are family houses with carpet on the stairs and in the bedrooms.

New carpet is not dirt-proof, though. Children and pets will find it quickly. Steam lifts most food, drink and pet stains, and since it uses very little water and no detergent, the pile does not collect a film that attracts fresh dirt.

Stairs, hallways and the family room
